Title Image: How To Get Involved - Individuals

Communities in Bloom brings families, friends and neighbours together. Now's your chance to beautify your home, grow community pride, and help gain international recognition for Kingston. Be a part of the excitement this summer!

  • Plant flowers outside your home or business. Not only does it beautify your neighbourhood and business community, it can be fun too.
  • Plant a tree. It helps beautify your community and protects the environment at the same time.
  • Participate in Pitch in Kingston Day or organize a clean up day for your neighbourhood.
  • Reduce waste, recycle, and compost.
  • Adopt a park.
  • Pick up after your pet.
  • Car pool or use public transportation
  • Celebrate the heritage of your city by supporting local arts and cultural festivals.
  • Join a local horticultural or heritage society.
  • To find out how you can volunteer your time contact Sue Hitchcock.
